Monster Energy and Fox Racing Unite Yamaha's MX Effort

Yamaha Motor Australia’s three professional motocross teams will now present a more unified and united look as they all now come under the Monster Energy banner for 2025 and beyond, falling in line with Yamaha motocross and supercross teams around the world.

Monster Energy has significantly increased their support, and each team will now be rebranded as, Monster Energy CDR Yamaha, Monster Energy Yamalube Yamaha and Monster Energy WBR Yamaha. Each team will still have its sole focus on the MX1, MX2, MX3 and MXW divisions, respectively.

“It is an exciting development for Yamaha Motor Australia to have Monster Energy on board and the three teams will have a striking and unique appearance at motocross and supercross events across the country.”

“We are thrilled to have Monster Energy expand their investment not just into Yamaha but continue their love affair with motocross and supercross,” explains Yamaha Motorsport Manager, Scott Bishop.

“Monster have had a successful multi-year relationship with Craig Dack and his team, so the natural progression was for it to filter through to our MX2 and MX3 teams and this now brings Yamaha Australia in line with Yamaha Europe and Yamaha US, having Monster Energy across all their racing efforts.”

The Monster Energy / Yamaha Australia connection has seen Craig Dack play the conduit between both parties. Dack’s relationship with Monster Energy is nearing its tenth year and his involvement was pivotal in expanding the support of Yamaha’s motocross effort.

Dack’s role is to remain as the broker of the arrangement while Yamaha Motor Australia mange the direction of the sponsorship.

There have been several other changes within the teams to continue the united theme and each will share several industry leading partners. All three teams not only have the additional support of Monster Energy and FOX Racing Australia but continue to work closely with Dunlop Tyres as well as in house products, Yamalube Liquid Engine Components and GYTR Performance Products.

“Having these division leading brands support our teams shows the synergy within our racing division and a willingness to work together to support riders as they continue on their step-up journey,” Bishop continues.

“These brands are the pillars of our teams. The teams will remain individually managed with the sole focus on their respective classes. The riders get the best of both worlds, in shared information and components, but directed as it’s required for the classes they race.

With the GYTR Yamaha Junior Racing Team previously announced as a FOX supported team, Yamaha Motor Australia now have all their motocross teams in FOX apparel for the 2025 season. The apparel giant now has all bases loaded in Australian motocross with Yamaha, continuing from the already successful relationship with CDR Yamaha.

“FOX has long been an integral part of the CDR Yamaha team, and we are delighted to expand that relationship across the rest of Yamaha’s motocross teams. Like Yamaha, we have a passion for racing and are happy to partner with Yamaha to showcase our full range of products from their junior team through to the highest level of professional racing in Australia with CDR,” Todd Hickling of FOX said.

Dunlop Tyres are the tyre of choice for professional motocross in Australia. Their range has a high-performance tyre for every track and every surface and having a team supported by Dunlop gives the rider piece of mind that he has the best tyres in the business under him.

“Dunlop is a proud supporter of racing in Australia and has an established relationship with the Yamaha teams, who have consistently showcased our products in a professional manner with outstanding results.”

“To have them unify and work together with Dunlop shows the already successful relationship we have with Yamaha and each team. We look forward to another great year as they chase the 2025 motocross and supercross championships,” states Dunlop Motorsport Manager, Robbie Bugden.

And while it may seem obvious, the finishing touches to the teams are added by the continued support of Yamaha’s Parts and Accessories division, who already have long standing relationships with our racing division, via Yamalube Liquid Engine Components and GYTR Performance Products.

Yamalube is the choice of all major Yamaha racing teams around the world with a product range that is second to none. Offering a huge variety of motor oils, lubricants, cleaners and fluids, the Yamalube brand grown to be the first and only choice of lubricants when riding a Yamaha, but also cater for any brand of motorcycle, on or off road.

The range of GYTR accessories available for Yamaha is vast and each of the teams will use anything from engine case covers to skids plates, and wheels to exhaust systems as well as everything in between. All GYTR products on the team bikes are available from your local Yamaha dealer as well as https://shop.yamaha-motor.com.au/

“Yamaha Parts and Accessories believe racing is a great way to test, develop and then showcase the GYTR and Yamalube ranges,” begins Yamaha P&A Marketing Manager, Tara-Lea Albury.

“To retain the naming rights of the Yamalube team and remain major partners of CDR Yamaha and WBR Yamaha shows our commitment to racing as we have now been involved with all teams for over a decade.”

“Even at a local level, we work closely with the teams to develop our products so by the time they get to the consumer, they have met the highest standards in performance and durability. All the teams will have access to the full Yamalube and GYTR catalogue and will be a pivotal component in their on-track success,” she ends.
